Dear Friends,
There are times when we all need to stand together for a common
cause. A cause that tells much about ourselves
and who and what we
value. This is one of those times.
On November 10, 2009, our friend Brent Moody experienced an accident
that changed his life forever. Brent was
involved in an ATV accident
while vacationing with his family in Mexico.
After many heart-wrenching moments, tears, eventually Brent and his
family arrived in Phoenix and St. Joesph's
Hospital.
His injuries included a broken neck, shattered T7 disc, torn
ligaments in back and neck, multiple concussions, and
as Brent
jokes, "My pinky was killing me!"
As a result of these injuries, Brent is paralyzed from the chest
down.
Brent is thankful that he is alive and has many family and friends
around him. Although Brent faces a significant
challenge ahead, he
is graced by having the strength and adaptability to overcome most
of the obstacles he is facing.
Brent is making strides with intense physically therapy and daily
rehabilitation, and has many more months and years
ahead to fully
recover....that is our goal.
Now here is where you come in. A group of Brent's friends are
organizing various avenues for you to help in this cause.
As you can
understand, Brent has experienced many new expenses along with his
injuries and adapting to paralysis.
Adaptive equipment to his house
and vehicle are just a few along with caring for his dogs and
keeping his home. Brent
needs to keep his focus on rehabilitation.
Brent's attitude is simple remarkable. For those who know him well,
this is no surprise. Brent has always possessed a
quiet strength
that is serving him well now. Brent is truly touched by the
generosity coming his way.
Thank you!!!! |
